Target Release Date: May, 2009

The goal of the Portico 1.0 release is to have all major HLA 1.3 services areas implemented in both Java and C++, in addition to having a solid, robust and performant RTI.

This release will include support for the following parts of the 1.3 specification:

  • Federate Management Services
  • Declaration Management Services
  • Object Management Services
  • Time Management Services
  • Ownership Management Services
  • Data Distribution Management Services
  • Support Services
  • Partial MOM support

The release will also provide:

  • Java Interface
  • C++ Interface
  • HLA 1.3 and HLA 1.3 DLC interfaces (Java and C++)
  • Experimental 1516 Interface (Java and C++)
  • Windows, Linux and Mac OS X (Java and C++)

[edit] Beyond 1.0

There are a number of goals for Portico beyond the 1.0 release. These include:

  • HLA 1.3 Certification
  • Continued development of 1516 Interface
  • Commercial Support
  • Support Tools (Graphical clients, WAN-bridges, etc...)
