[edit] Mailing Lists

To sign up to a mailing list, just click on the name of the list below (in bold) and enter your email address. You will be sent an email asking you to confirm your subscription. The lists provided by Portico are:

  • portico-announce: Very low-traffic list where information about new releases and other general announcements are sent. If you want to know when something big happens, this is how to find out.
  • portico-user: A user-oriented list where people can come and ask for Portico related help.
  • portico-developer: A developer oriented list where technical discussions about how the Portico internals work can take place.
  • portico-commits: Every time a change is submitted to the Portico Subversion repository, the commit message and diff set is reflected to this list.

All users or interested parties are strongly encouraged to sign up to the portico-announce mailing list. It is low traffic and helps us gauge community interest in the project.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to sign up to the portico-announce mailing list

[edit] Forums

The Portico Project provides a forum facility where users can come to ask questions and get help with their problems. The forums can be used to discuss bugs, issues, feature requests or just about anything else.

[edit] IRC/Chat

If you want to chat, a number of core developers can often be found in the #portico channel on irc.freenode.net. Please keep in mind that at the moment the core development team resides in Perth (GMT+8) or Victoria (GMT+10), Australia, so most activity will occur at those times.
